Once upon a time, I was tagged again

Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

1. I play the Chinese Yo-yo. It's my back up job if I end up failing to be a designer, artist, or East Asian historian. I spent half of freshman year in college improving my skills as a... Chinese yoyoist (?). I'm quite proud of what I've accomplished.

That's a Chinese Yo-yo. The rubber ones that you see SF street performers playing are for cowards.

2. I love art, but I hate crafts. I am horrible with my hands when it comes to cutting and gluing.

3. I go by Han in my classes, because there are too many Kevin's in the world. There are at least 1 Kevin in each of my classes. Which brings me to number 4...

4. I was named Kevin by my mom because of Home Alone.
Yes, Home Alone is my namesake

5. Anyway, I'm not really Han either. My Chinese name is Han-Chia. My legal name used to be Kevin Han-Chia Chen (it said so on my Social Security Card before), but I was Han Chia Chen on my Green Card. After 9/11, the government made sure no one citizen have 2 names for security reasons. In order to get my driving permit, DMV forced me to change my name on my Social Security Card to Han Chia, with "Chia" being the middle name, because the guy who typed out my name on my Green Card messed up and missed a hyphen. Lessons learned? 1) The hyphen is very important, and 2) Damn the terrorists.

6. I love to sing, it's why I like KTV. But I am afraid of strangers. I sing in my room a lot, when no one is around of course. In fact, I'm singing right now.

7. So if I ever get rid of the fear of strangers and grow some guts, I think I want to persue the entertainment business in Asia. But you know that's never going to happen. It is my day dream #1.

8. I eat too much, I'm sure that's not a secret. My stomach is huge (sigh), if you don't believe me, you 1) don't know me well enough, or 2) are blind.

9. I hate scary movies. The reason? Sometimes I'm afraid of them, and most of the time I think they're a waste of money, time, and my attention. They're lame and have no point.

10. I do not let people touch my bed, no matter how clean you are. Exceptions are 1) relatives who I have great respect for (parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, MAYBE brother, depends on my mood, sorry Hans), and 2) girls, because all boys are dirty except for me.
Yes, it's my sanctuary.

11. When I have nightmares, they're almost always school related: late for class, did not do the homework, cannot finish the exam on time, etc. Sometimes I dream of crashing or being arrested by the police for bad driving.

12. I have an incredible sense of sight, an unmatched sense of hearing, and a legendary sense of smell. I am like a primitive hunter without the muscles. So if I were in a primitive world dominated by cavemen, I would be their handy-dandy adviser.

That's my friend, his mate, and his dog, Boogawooga. I'm not in the picture because I don't have the muscles.

13. I have rheumatoid arthritis, but it's not that bad. I hurt when it's going to rain. I'm like a walking weather report, without all the informations other than rain... and maybe increase in humidity...

Imagine ALL that in your knee. Yes, the pain is extremely intense.

14. I hate rap music, unless they're meaningful, then maybe I might just dislike them. But I absolutely loathe the ones about boobs, ass, getting laid, bling, cars, money, and guns.

15. I like my food soft, like food from the senior center. I know because my grandma used to bring back broccolis from her senior center, and I looovvvveee it.

16. Which reminds me, people call me "oldman" (老頭) and "grandpa."

17. When I was 7 or 8, I really hated this boy (I had a good reason to, I just forgot). One time, I wrote some bad words on a piece of paper and folded it into a paper plane, then I shot it to him without him noticing. When he got the message, he told the teacher. The teacher asked the class who did it, and no one answered. Afraid of being busted, I gave her an advice so she would not be suspicious of me. I said "Mrs. Zhuang, if you match up the handwriting on that piece of paper with our handwritings on the homework, you can find the person who did this!" I was not afraid of my handwriting being a match, because when I was writing the bad words, I planned ahead and wrote in crummy handwriting. The teacher was so impressed by my advice, she made everyone in the class clap for me. A few days later, an innocent girl was wrongly accused. She could not say no because then the teacher would just beat her until she says yes. She confessed and was beaten anyway. I felt horrible, but did not have the guts to stand up and confess. I still feel guilty about the whole thing.

18. On the other hand, I think physical punishment is needed for a good education. It is why Asian kids behave.

Look at that. If the picture was taken in America, you would see kids picking their nose, making faces, ripping up books, and having fun. And fun is not essential in moral education (I'm just kidding, I love fun).

19. I avoid people I do not know well. I am afraid of small talks.

20. I am invisible. In freshman year, I was in a party with a bunch of people in a dorm room. When the RA's came and busted the whole room, they checked everyone's ID except for mine. I was not hiding, in fact, we were sitting in a line, and the RA skipped me. I'm a ninja without all the muscles, speed, and skills.
I think I look better without the shades, I'm not sure.

21. My boxers are from Banana Republic. They're not that comfortable. The tags in the back always end up scratching me.

22. In second grade, I entered the building block contest. There was this boy in my team who built plant pots the size of my cars. I was pretty pissed off at his lack of sense, so we got into a fight. But in the end (with the help from our parents), my team got first place in all of Taipei, woohoo.

23. I love birds and cats. Actually, I love animals, but not as much as Angela loves animals. Angela's love for animals is unmatched by anyone in the world. That's almost not an exaggeration. I love Hamtato.

24. I am ticklish, in pretty much everywhere on my body. I'm laughing uncontrollably from typing right now. (That's a joke, it's not true)

25. I should really be doing my project, but I've worked too much this week, I need a little break. Although this is not particularly full of joy.
